Motorola HC08 Low Cost Development Solution.

The hardware used to develop the world's first HC08 reference design for Motorola is now available. The ATPIRKIT allows rapid low cost development of Motorola FLASH based designs. With onboard programming and debug via the Motorola MON08 serial interface.
C source code is provided to get the user up and running very quickly with LCD, button detect, RS232, I2C and many other commonly used modules.

The ATCOREGP32 is a generic development board for MC68HC908GP32 applications, which also includes FLASH programming facilities. Other features included on the ATCOREGP32 are 15 push buttons, a 2 x16 character LCD, real time clock, digital potentiometer, RS232 interface and an infra-red transmitter/receiver which allows wireless communications with a number of peripheral boards; making it an ideal tool for user specific 'GP32' development projects.

This development board is based around the MC68HC908GP32, a FLASH 32k 8 bit microcontroller. The ATCOREGP32 will help reduce development time due to the on board FLASH programmer supplied and debugging capability of the proven MON08 interface. Full CodeWarrior source code projects are supplied to aid the developer. The source code supplied will allow the user to implement the following:

  • LCD address/write routines
  • I2C master/slave
  • Interrupt driven RS232 Tx/Rx
  • Real Time Clock read/write via I2C
  • Button decode for press/release/extended press
  • Interrupt driven infra-red Tx/Rx
  • C Source debug via MON08 Interface

The ATPIR development board, which provides all the hardware necessary to design and develop a Passive Infra-red intruder detection system using the MC68HC908JK3. This utilises both analogue amplification and a low cost, pseudo 'delta sigma' sensing methods to provide the user with the widest design flexibility, including in circuit programming of the FLASH microcontroller. Features of the ATPIR are:
